Save the Children Chief Executive Helle Thorning-Schmidt pleaded with European countries on Thursday to help the thousands of unaccompanied minors that are stranded in refugee camps.
Thorning-Schmidt, the former Prime Minister of Denmark, made her comments during a visit to the Karatepe refugee camp on the Greek island of Lesbos.
Many refugees there have been waiting for more than four months for the correct paperwork so they can move out.
Most are hoping to be allowed into western Europe where many already have family members living.
